On March 30, 2oo8 at 8:30pm I arrived at the Showbox Sodo. I was attending my first concert. The first one. Ever.
I arrived a few minutes later than Emily, Celeste, and Lexi all had, but they had saved a spot ahead in line me (Good thing to. The line had maneged to wrap it's way around the corner.).
We stood in line for a bit. Emily drew an Anarchy symbol on Lexi's cheek, and then I think maybe Celeste (or at least tried).
When the line began to move, we all started screaming and giggling like the crazy fan-girl freak that we were.
I man walked by (security) and began to announce the rules. The one I remember the most was "We don't have what you have, but we don't want it. Leave in it your car, or lose it."
Celeste began to freak about her lighter. t was her lucky lighter. She had done everything with it. She didn't want to lose it. Emily got the idea and took it like a ninja, and then hid it under a cup by a fence. She said that after the concert we would go back and get it.
When we got inside, The Birthday Massacre was already playing. Emily immediately started eating her way up to the stage with all of us. When we got about 4 feet from the front, a mosh pit started up. I couldn't take it. It was took hot. To many people. I tole them I was going to head back out to the outer ring of people. Lexi came with.
At the time I didn't really know anything about TBM, but Chibi and O-en are damned sexy.
Then MSI came up. Me and Lexi like started crying (very happy) and jumping up and down. The first song with Shut Me Up. Duh.
Next was Mastermind, then Lights Out, then Stupid MF, then Issues, 1989, Never Wanted To Dance, Prescription, Revenge, Animal, Tornado, Pay For It, Faggot, Capitol P, Evening Wear, Bitches, Planet Of the Apes, Straight To Video, and then finally I hate Jimmy Page.
Between each song Jimmy mocked his wonderful fans. Right before Stupid MF, He asked the audience who the most annoying person there was. First he pointed over in my direction and said "Is it you? Yes you! With the frizzy hair!" Now you guy all no me. The queen is frizz. So I looked behind myself, and everyone had that wonderful colorful straight hair. SO he was talking to me. Then he said "NO!" really loud and moved on to some one else with the same hair as himself.
During Faggot, Jimmy called up an audience member dressed as a t-rex. He named it a dick-a-saurus. It was great.
Sadly, during STV, the pants stayed on (ahahha).
After the show, Jimmy came back out on the stage so Celeste, Lexi, Emily, and I all when up to get something signed. It was crazy. People were throwing things and screaming more than they were minute ago. I was walking on air.
Molly (Emily's Mom) texted Emily to tell her to go outside. Molly had to go to a bowling (?) party, so we had to go.
We were so close, but I wanted Molly to be, you know, nice, next time I saw her, so I tried to get Lexi and Celeste to go. They weren't moving. Molly called and she was pissed. So me and Emily left...but not before I gave Celeste my stinky shoe to try and get sighed.
I hopped out of the place, and waited. My foot freezing.
I few minutes later, Lexi and Celeste showed again. Celeste with a sighed belt, and Lexi with a sighed shoe.
Celeste was unable to get my shoe signed for reason quote: "He just kinda spazzed out, screamed and ran off."
I still went home happy
That was a year and 5 days ago.
Since then I have gone to a total of 5 different concerts and seen 18 (?) different bands.
Live music is keeping me alive.
Just thought I might share that
